Make a list of the books on your main character’s bookshelf and then see if the reading material fits the character. What could someone who doesn’t know your character as well as you do learn from seeing what kind of book your character enjoys? Which is your character’s favourite book, and is there any book that has impacted his/her life in any way, and if so - how.
