As a writer you need to make sure you cover all your bases, whether it’s checking facts for an article, or ensuring your protagonist has the same name and physical appearance throughout the entire book. 

With that in mind, today’s exercise is:

You’ve been asked to organize a 50th wedding anniversary celebration for a couple you’ve been close friends with for many years.  Write a list of things you’ll need to take care of in order for the event to go off smoothly.

Read the list back carefully.  If you did everything on the list, and nothing else, how successful would you have been in organizing a successful event?
