As American Idol draws to a close this week I thought it would be fun to use this in an exercise.  Use the American Idol setup as the backdrop for a scene of fiction, or a non-fiction article. 

If you don’t watch American Idol, and aren’t really confident about who’s who on the show and how the process works, then use another reality TV show as the setting for your exercise.
