What piece of equipment in your home could you not be without? If you could only have one, which would it be, and why?
The only rule on this exercise is that your writing must start with one of the following:
Debate - part 2: Ok, yesterday you wrote what you really think. Using the same issue as yesterday, today you’re going to play devil’s advocate with yourself and write a letter to the local paper that’s the opposite of what you really feel. Read the letter aloud to yourself. It must sound as passionate and convincing as your real opinion!
Debate - part 1: Take a stand on an issue. They are going to increase your local taxes in order to create finance for an on-going project to remove graffiti from public places in your community. Write a response to the local paper for or against this proposed tax based on your personal opinion.
As the Presidential race heats up, consider the fact that you’re throwing your hat in the ring - let’s face it, could you do any worse? So, on what platform would you stand? Social reform? Reversing the war in Iraq strategy? Healthcare? Education? Write a 500 word essay on what your priorities would be should you be elected President of your country.
What’s your favorite chill out music? Do you get to play this often? Is it something to sing along with in the shower or car, or do you just sit quiet and close your eyes whilst the music soothes the stress away? Describe the music and what it does for you.
