Picture yourself standing atop a mountain.  You’re looking down over your city/town/sub division/etc.  Describe what you can see.  Read it back to yourself.  Do you recognize the area from what you’ve wrote.  Did you remember to put in any features that would be clearly visible from such a height?  Did you put in anything that is actually so small that it wouldn’t be as clearly visible as you’ve wrote?  It’s an interesting exercise in making sure we don’t over emphasis things in our writing that don’t warrant it.

Are you a pecan nut, a chocolate split, or simply a vanilla person?  What’s your ice cream pleasure?  Write about your favorite flavors, whether or not they’ve changed over the years, and any special memories you may have where ice cream played a part.
