Write about your favorite sport.  It could be something you enjoy watching, or something you participate in now, or something you loved as a child.  What attracts you to this sport?

3. He’d never done this before, but the feeling of the soft ………

Your protagonist is at the grocery store buying basic food items.  They pick up a jar of pickles by the lid, the lid comes off and the jar plus pickles end up on the floor.  Write the scene that follows!

Choose any item in your bedroom and write a description of it so that someone blind is able to understand what it is, and how it looks.  The description should include as many of the senses as possible.

Choose any event in the history of your country, and write an alternative ending.  Perhaps it could be a different leader elected, or a different ending to a war, or perhaps what if …..  There’s endless possibilities, choose one that really appeals to you and consider what would have happened if things had been different.

You are on vacation at the location of your dreams.  Write a postcard that describes the scene in front of you (without referring to the picture on the front!)
