Create a Plot Clinic by Holly Lisle

Create a Plot Clinic by Holly Lisle

If, like me, you have great ideas for novels, get started, and then somewhere around 12-15,000 words you find that you’ve run out of steam, then Holly Lisle’s book “Create a Plot Clinic” is for you.

There are a number of plot how-to books around but what I like about “Create a Plot Clinic” is that it’s very much a hands-on book. It deals with the every day life of a writer. Holly Lisle is a writer who knows how easily a writer’s mind gets distracted and she’s created a book that takes you through the plotting process from what to expect from the book, what you’ll need before getting started, plotting before writing and finally putting it all together. Using a system that allows you the freedom to have ideas and then mix them up until you’re happy with the sequencing of scenes, “Create a Plot Clinic” works with your own creative process. I love the fact that this is an ebook because not only did I get the download immediately I paid for it, but also that I can print off the relevant sections of the book that I need to pay particular attention to and pin these up on the wall beside my desk as a constant reminder to create better plots before setting off on a new novel journey!

Many writer-related books come across my desk, but this book is one I bought and it’s actually one of the most sound that I’ve found which is why I can recommend it. Take a look at the book here: “Create a Plot Clinic”.
